A Dulaman Irish Maritime Gin is the county of Donegal's first gin. The name Dulaman comes from an Irish folk song about a conversation between two seaweed collectors. They capture "Draocht na Farraige" (the magic of the sea) in An Dulaman by using five locally collected species of seaweed as well as six other botanicals. This distinguishes An Dulaman from the rest of the Donegal coast. In late 2019, they released a very special An Dulaman expression: An Dulaman Santa Ana Armada Strength Gin, Ireland's first Navy Strength Gin. The palate begins with a wonderfully bright and soft juniper, and as it fades, An Dulaman's complexity emerges in rich umami, brisk salt, and finally a buttery oyster smoothness with undertones of chestnut and strong tannin. Sweet notes of Turkish delight fade to a comforting warmth with time.
