The Akkeshi Usui Blended Whisky 700ml

The Akkeshi Usui blend is the second season in the distillery's series of 24 Sekki, Japan's distinctive seasonal cycle. The Usui, or "Rainwater," is a malt-and-grain blend, with more than half of the spirit malt coming from Akkeshi and the rest coming from imported aged grain spirit. This blended whisky has a lovely amber color with gleaming undertones. Right on the nose Rich as well as fruity, with a hint of bitterness from dark cocoa and sweetness from the cream puff. The notes of raisins and the citrus scent add a unique richness. On the palate, there are citrus and mint-like refreshing notes, as well as some white pepper spiciness and milk chocolate sweetness. Creamy and spicy at the end. White pepper adds a subtly spicy finish.
