The rich and often dark history of London porters inspired this beer. Originally, these beers were made with malted barley that had been malted (dried) over an open fire. This process imparted smokey and charcoal notes to the beer. The Industrial Revolution brought with it clean-burning coal and the era of clear, bright lagers thanks to a much cleaner malting process. Aromas of espresso, dark chocolate, and campfire smoke greet the senses as the liquid pours dark brown to light black. During the summer, enjoy this classic porter with your friends.
