The Calvados Christian Drouin estate opens into ambling apple orchards, 17th-century half-timbered houses and manors that house its charming distillery, which is located in the center of Pays D'Auge. By using over 30 different species of apples in its handcrafted apple brandy blends, the family-run distillery, which was founded in 1960. When drinking Calvados Selection, the fresh pear aroma is the first thing that comes to mind. On the palate, apple and pear flavours mingle with floral and cider notes, as well as baking spice, to bring the orchard harvest to life. In this extremely delicious drink, the finish is sweet, light, and slightly herbaceous, suggestive of citrus and apple seeds.
