In this second release of this series, the spirit has been finished in Calvados casks. This finishing process results in a rum of remarkable complexity. Calvados is a type of French apple brandy valued for its clarity of flavor, made exclusively from casks from the famous Lecompte brand. With its notes of ripe fruit and tartness, the cask perfectly complements the sweet and fragrant Agricole, which is made up of fermented sugar cane juice. This rum has been aged for 10 years, which is a significant amount of time in the heat of the Caribbean, and has a surprising level of complexity.
